New Beginnings

Updated: Feb 21

Hi, friends! Welcome to Nourished Well! This is the beginning of a venture I’ve dreamed of since I was a kid. I was born into a family of entrepreneurs and innovation runs in my blood. I’ve been pursuing a career in the nutrition/wellness world for over 10 years now and have been practicing as a dietitian and exercise physiologist for over 5 years. As I’ve built this skillset, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of people and gotten a glimpse of the need we have for cultivating a support system in our relationship with food and our bodies. There is so much misinformation and unnecessary fear out there about the “best” way to eat and move, but it doesn’t have to be this way.

My hope in building this private practice is to be able to support people in a unique way as they discover what living their best life and stewarding their bodies with freedom can look like. It is a journey filled with challenges but also growth, joy, and an incredible opportunity to thrive. There are so many layers to us as human beings, and there are few things about our eating and movement that are purely black and white. I want to use my resources to help guide people toward determining what works best for them as they navigate the obstacles of life.

In this space, I hope to start a variety of conversations that test the “status quo” and keep us up-to-date on the direction nutrition is headed. Our culture has largely developed an incredibly broken perspective toward the human body and food in such a way that has left many feeling imprisoned mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. This is not true living and it holds us back in so many detrimental ways. If you’re curious about what I mean, stay tuned for future posts or feel free to reach out with your own questions!

Another goal I have is to equip you with practical tips that help with tackling the “nuts and bolts” of feeding your body in the midst of a busy schedule. There are so many ways to do this well, but the key is balance and flexibility. Believe it or not, all food offers you some sort of value. There is no food you can show me that I’ll tell you never to eat again, especially if it’s something you enjoy. Yet, it’s important to nourish your body with the nutrients you need to function well if you want to feel your best. It is absolutely possible to accomplish this while enjoying the foods you love with a mind that isn’t bogged down with guilt and regret.

Join me in building a community that loves moving and feeding the body in a way that brings joy and wellbeing. Thanks for following along as I share tips on what it could look like to fuel your best life!
